Senior Product Manager, China

Req ID: 7282Required Education: MastersRequired Experience: 3-5 YearsDescription: Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for a smart, experienced, bilingual product management/marketing professional to serve as Senior Product Manager, China. In this role, s/he will be a champion of the consumer's online experience by leading the definition, design, development and implementation of TripAdvisor in China. Responsibilities:This role will lead the key product direction to help make our core site successful in China:•Working closely with the CEO, Marketing and Engineering teams to identify gaps in core product functionality and content offerings as well as to assign priority to key product areas for development for our Chinese site.•Lead and develop cross-functional teams, serving as product and project manager, to define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and marketing launch against goals •Communicating product status, key issues and launch plans to key constituents across the TripAdvisor organization including senior management as well as engineering, design, sales, PR, editorial and customer support teams •Measuring product performance and identification of key levers of improvement, including design and analysis of relevant reports •Monitoring the competitive landscape, identifying and leading relevant market, site and consumer research needs Hiring requirements•Minimum 4 years experience including at least 2+ years experience in product management at leading e-commerce company on a consumer-facing site •Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset •Required: Interest in spending first 6 months of employment in MA headquarters and then relocating to China •Native of China with extensive knowledge of Chinese culture and business practices •Bilingual: English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese fluency required•Demonstrated consumer mindset •Specific experience in successfully developing and managing new product launches including a proven ability to champion products and drive key decisions •BS/BA required from leading western institution, MBA a plus •Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization •Strong organization and analytic skills required•Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred TripAdvisor is an Equal Opportunity Employer..Additional Information:Travel Percentage: 75%
