The NFL Digital Media Group is seeking a Senior System Administrator who will be responsible for the maintenance of our digital media infrastructure.

 

Job Responsibilities:

•Install, configure, and maintain Solaris servers

•Set up, configure and maintain enterprise class web-based and middleware systems

•Work with extended teams to determine  infrastructure requirements and make architectural recommendations

•Support deployment and configuration of J2EE and Open Source platforms and applications from development to production environments

•Monitor web environments for availability and performance, applying patches and updates.

•Troubleshoot web issues, take part in on-call pager rotation and respond to critical situations

•Maintain system security

•Perform network, server, and SAN/NAS, and application troubleshooting

•Perform system backups and recovery

 

Skills / Qualifications:

•5+ years of Unix systems administrative experience in high traffic consumer web-based environments

•Requires a bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or related area

•Experience architecting infrastructure for highly available, multi-tier web-based systems

•Strong System administrative background in Solaris and Linux

•Demonstrated experience assisting development teams in designing applications to be scalable and maintainable once deployed to a production environment

•Extensive experience in supporting and debugging issues in Java application based environments

•Experience with EMC Documentum content management system

•Technologies supported include: Apache HTTP Servers, Tomcat, JBoss, and WebSphere Application Servers, Oracle RAC, and EMC Documentum

•Familiarity with online media and sports industry a plus

•Production experience with Open Source platforms a must
