Senior Web Engineer

Senior Web Developer   FastWeb, a division of Monster Worldwide, is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our technology team in Chicago, IL. We are seeking a hands-on developer who has experience in the design, development and deployment of commercial grade web applications. Content Management system experience will be a plus, especially with Oracle Stellent. The chosen candidate will join a committed and energetic software development team to: Work with a team of developers dedicated to maintaining and enhancing edu.org family of site Develop, test, implement and maintain application layer of web based applications in both existing platform and CMS  Design, develop and maintain HTML to be used in both site and email content Qualifications: BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering or a related field A minimum of five years experience with at least three of the fallowing technologies Perl, PHP, Oracle, HTML, JavaScript, shell scripting, Apache, mod_perl, Java, CMS A strong familiarity with UNIX/Linux. Candidates should have: 3+ years of proven experience in designing, developing and deploying complex n-tier systems. Proficiency in Perl / Mod-Perl or PHP is desired CMS (Content Management System) experience required (especially with Stellent or Documentum is desired) Java experience will be a plus Experience developing and deploying under UNIX, especially Linux. Experience with CVS, Perforce or other version control systems and release management process. Strong business analysis experience. Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Methodologies / Programming. Demonstrated ability to ship quality products on time. Enthusiasm for creating and evolving rational, effective, high-performance systems. Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
