Site Merchandiser, Toys and Baby Amazon.com's Toys and Baby stores are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, individual to help build a parent friendly customer shopping experience. Specific responsibilities include writing and managing site content; scheduling content for the toys and baby home and category pages; planning and creating email efforts; working closely with buyers and merchandisers on promotions and special events; assigning freelancer content and editing their work; coordinating site experience for PR events; working with vendors to pitch, secure, or create exclusive content; and gathering and sharing metrics that measure the effectiveness of promotional efforts. A knowledge about and interest in toys or baby products is preferred, and experience in marketing and e-commerce merchandising is a plus. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and strong communicator and able to manage and meet multiple deadlines. Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, and management. Technical requirements include previous experience with Web publishing tools, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly. Experience working with XML and HTML tools is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant editorial, journalism, or merchandising experience. A bachelor's degree is required.
