Job Summary:
Software Engineer – Help us push the limits of cutting edge hardware and software design techniques to create disruptive products that lead the digital marketing industry. You will also be working with and collaborating with other engineering groups in Santa Barbara and Westlake Village, CA.

The primary objective of the “User Profile Service” UPS project is to create a repository for storing and retrieving web user information that can be shared across business units (pursuant to each BU’s privacy policy). The UPS will consist of hardware to house the repository, software to manage it and methods for ad servers and batch processes to read and write information from and to the repository.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• C Apache module development and enhancements in an ultra high-performance, multi-threaded, distributed environment.
• Database development, schema design
• System design with careful attention to security implications and availability
• 5+ years with web application development in a multi-threaded, distributed environment.
• 5+ years with server-side, infrastructure development, preferably on Linux
• Proficiency in C, SQL, OO concepts (C++, Java) and at least one scripting language
• 3+ years with database development, preferably with MySQL
• Fluent on the UNIX command line
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust accordingly for urgent matters and adjusting priorities
• Tenacious attention to detail and quality assurance in a highly visible and sensitive production environment.
• Self-motivated and self-directing





Required Education and Experience:
• Technical degree from a top university
