Entry Level Software Tester Position at OneGreatFamily

Job Summary

We are currently expanding our QA team in an effort to enhance our testing capacity. We are looking for part-time and full-time entry level software testers who are willing to learn test methodologies and the use of automated testing tools.  A "can-do" attitude is a must.

Essential Job Functions Responsible for defining and implementing a test automation framework Establish requirements for writing and executing automation test scripts which will conduct performance and regression tests on a variety of hardware and software environments.

 

Desired Experience Experience in application programming and/or creating automation scripts using commercial automation software (e.g. QA Wizard, NUnit) Knowledge of multiple Operating Systems and environments (i.e. - Windows, Linux, etc.) Experience with database systems with an ability to create SQL queries. Experienced with technical writing skills including the ability to write test plans, execute test plan documents and write final reports A sound understanding of QA concepts and methodologies Ability to evaluate, integrate and implement new technologies and methodologies Experience with various test methods including GUI based system testing, performance testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, negative testing, etc.

Skills / Abilities Strong problem resolution, decision making and analytical skills required. Excellent communication skills including to communicate clearly, politely and effectively using verbal (telephone) and e-mail communication Excellent documentation skills Excellent organization and time management skills Must be self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to take direction Creative ability and natural innovation to approach problems and tasks from a variety of perspectives Attention to detail
