Job Description:

* Looking for an experienced Flash Application Developer - an experienced ActionScript developer with strong Object Oriented programming background to build andenhance robust interactive components for our global Internet audiences. The desired candidate infuses his/her logical analysis with creative passion while achieving excellence in our fast-paced, dynamic environment.  This position requires self-motivation and constant contacts with developers,

designers, project managers, product and editorial managers, NFL Network staff, and other stakeholders throughout the NFL.

 

 

Skills and Experience Required:

* Thorough understanding and implementation of object-oriented design and programming methodologies

* Experience creating Flash applications which manipulate and display

real-time data using XML, JSON, and/or Web services

* Strong knowledge of Actionscript 2.0

* Audio and video integration using: H.264 (HE-AAC), On2 VP6, Sorenson, and MP3 codecs using progressive, on-demand, and streaming delivery methods

* Ability to generate programmatic animation and manipulate the event model by creating custom events and listeners

* Media, bandwidth and application performance optimization

* Solid understanding of asset manipulation and optimization using Photoshop and Illustrator

* Highly experienced in interactive Flash UI development

* Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web

* Background understanding of XML, XPath, E4X, and XSLT

* Experience working with Javascript, HTML, CSS, DHTML, UI manipulation

* Experience with Web 2.0 technologies, especially AJAX, RSS and social

networking integration

* Experience using SVN and Eclipse-based development tools in either a

Windows or Mac environment

 

The following are considered a plus:

* Flex application development in a Java environment

* ActionScript 3 component development and custom API (extension) creation

* Omniture ActionSource experience

* Working with CDNs (Akamai, Limelight, etc.)

* Flash Media Server 3, Flash Remoting, and other related technologies

(Papervision3D, Sandy)

* Prototype, script.aculo.us or other front-end framework

* Custom framework and easing algorithm development, Flash game development, character animation

* JSFL, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Soundbooth, Maya, 3DS MAX

* Java (J2EE), JSTL, Spring
