Sr. Operations Manager, Lexington, KY Job Posting:  Senior Operations Manager  Reports to: General ManagerJob Description: Member of Fulfillment Center (FC) sr. mgmt team.  Lead a disciplined team of several hundred employees to world-class results in safety, quality, & efficiency.Work w/ FC Leadership team to set direction, high standards & goals for the FC & ensure the goals are achieved.  Results-oriented, high-energy, & dynamic with both the stamina & mental agility to work & thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth FC.  Ability to develop & execute plan of action. Excellent communication skills w/ all levels of mgmt & staff are imperative. Ability to lead, coach, mentor mgmt at all levels within the FC.  Responsibilities: Promote a safe & defect free work environment Oversee ops to attain maximum production efficiency; Oversee depts to meet customer needs & established financial benchmarks; Recommend, develop, & implement policies/programs that guide the org in maintaining & improving its competitive position  Ensure the FC adheres to company policy & administers practices fairly & equitably; Oversee initiatives pertaining to labor & staff planning, productivity tracking & planning, capacity planning, & scheduling. Lead effort to match FC capability & plans to annual plan & weekly S&OP plan. Manage budget & effectively controls expenses; Develop & appraise staff effectively.  Takes corrective action on a timely basis & in accordance with company policy; consults with HR as appropriate; Keep up-to-date on information & technology affecting distribution to increase innovation & ensure continual improvement Proactively interface with operations & technology staff at HQ & in the FC to develop needs, requirements, & plans for the development & implementation of complete, operationally-ready technology solutions to FC challenges.  Effectively form & lead initiatives to further FC management and “4x4x4” objectives, involving OE team members (Black Belts) & other senior staff members (Industrial Engineer, Facilities Manager, Controller).  A BA/BS (Technical Background preferably), MBA, or equivalent work experience preferred.5-10 years of management experience in a prod/mfg or distribution environment is preferred.
