Sr. SQL DBA / Database Administrator

Performs DBA functions in all environments including performance tuning and capacity planning.  Performs as a team lead or project manager for major projects within the DBA team.  Collaborates with development teams supporting the application development lifecycle and/or the production support teams while ensuring system stability.SQL Server Database Administration:  Required 3-5 YearsMust display proficiency in SQL, T-SQL and Scripting. Must demonstrate abilities in the following areas:  RDMS Software and Tools Installation, Configuration Management, Security Administration, Monitoring and Tuning, Backup and Recovery, Troubleshooting and Efficient use of database storage. Must have practical experience tuning moderate to large database systems (over 200GB).  Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve - is a key aspect of position.Must possess the ability to work independently and with both DBA team and application development groups.  T-SQL: Required 3-5 YearsBackup and Recovery: Required 3-5 Years  Database Creation Database Design / Data Modeling Performance Tuning: Required 3-5 Years7x24 High Availability Troubleshooting / Problem Solving Skills  Monitoring (System / Database)  Windows  (2000 & 2003) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to establish a high level of customer trust and confidence in the team’s knowledge of, and concern for, customers’ business needs.Bachelors Degree
