Technical Product Analyst Do you have the passion to create the ultimate online travel shopping experience, for one of the biggest names in ecommerce?  Do you have a software development background and are looking to transition into product management/marketing? We’re looking for a go-getter with a technology background to help roll-out our next generation search solution.  The ideal candidate will come from a software development background with a strong desire to transition to product management/marketing. Online travel and/or Ecommerce experience is a plus, but passion, self-motivation, and an entrepreneurial spirit are more important.The Product Analyst will work closely with Product Managers in defining strategy, defining requirements and planning/executing projects through our AGILE delivery model. Here’s what we want you to do as a Product Analyst  – Search Work with product managers in defining the strategy for our next generation search Assist with build vs. buy decisions of technology enablers Work with cross functional teams across programs and create roadmaps, define detailed requirements Translate product requirements into functional/technical specifications, and lead cross functional teams to deliver the solution Manage product development through the creation and maintenance of business and functional requirements, process workflows, use cases, reporting requirements and test cases Collaborate with Information Architecture, Technology and Creative, Editorial and Front End Production to understand feasibility and constraints of potential alternative solutions Oversee the creation of Functional Specifications including Use Cases, Process/Workflow, Error Messages, Interface Specifications and test cases Communicate team’s accomplishments upward and outward throughout organization Work with all affected groups to drive projects to completionQualifications: Minimum 2-4 years of software development with a strong desired to transition into product management / Marketing. This position is a stepping stone towards becoming a product manager Experience with AGILE development methodology Ability to manage a project Experience writing functional specifications for a software solution Ability to extract business requirements from management and market analysis to create remarkable products Effective presenter to a variety of audiences Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Track record of high performance Strong leadership capabilities, Ability to drive team direction in an environment of ambiguity, Ability to make decisions  Solution and team oriented Experience working with enterprise search solutions a plus SEO/SEM, eCommerce, travel experience a plusB.A./B.S. required Please email resume to: roseanne.stanoy@orbitz.com
