Technical Support engineer will be responsible for managing customer technical issues for the full suite of the Open AdStream product line in regards to deployment, upgrade, migration and post production support, in addition to implementing new customers and providing consultation services. The Engineer will also provide formal training to the clients for the user interface and System Administration aspects of the software to get them equipped with knowledge needed to use and maintain the software. The engineer could travel up-to 25% of the time. This time might include on-site trouble-shooting, upgrades, deployments, training and customized consulting. The engineer will also need to carry the pager for critical customer issues after hours on a rotation basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Solve customer issues on phone/email/on-site with end goal of customer satisfaction. 2. Perform Open AdStream implementation/deployment/upgrades/customized consulting. 3. Conduct user interface and Systems Administration training for all products. 4. Communicate with other company departments to resolve client issues, i.e. Product management and Engineering about any software bugs found in field,; Account Management about any customer business issue and revenue opportunities; Systems Group for escalated issues on ASP products CRITICAL POSITION BEHAVIORS: 1. Ability to understand various interdependent components of Open AdSystems from support perspective as well as details and features of web design and architecture. 4. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 1.) A solid understanding of MySQL and Oracle databases in a Linux environment. a. Ability to manipulate data within the database. (import, export, backup, restore, fix corrupted data) 2.) A solid understanding of Linux OS. a. Navigate the OS, change file permissions, and modify files accordingly. b. Troubleshoot and maintain Linux without a GUI interface. c. Ability to connect and sync data between multiple systems. 3.) Knowledge of Apache web servers 4.) Knowledge of XML and JBOSS 5.) 2-4 years experience in Internet software support environment. 6.) Basic knowledge of networking/Datacenter Architecture Design 7.) B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED: MySQL: MySQL 5 Core Certification Red Hat: RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) Oracle: Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Associate
