Technology team has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer to produce internal and external documentation for our ad network applications and platforms. The Writer will work with managers and developers to provide documents and diagrams for a pivotal, company-wide design effort. The Writer will deploy content across multiple applications, while working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

We have an open and communicative atmosphere, where each team member must be able to work both independently and as part of the group. This Senior Technical Writer is responsible for creating high quality on-line technical documents in our knowledge base system. This individual will report to the Tech Docs Manager, but will work with other managers on a day-to-day basis.

Location: Sunnyvale.

Travel: Occasional travel between Burbank and Sunnyvale may be required.



Minimum required experience and skills: The candidate must have the following experience and skills:

• 5+ years of continuous, recent experience as a Technical Writer for large scale software or internet applications

• Experience working with a CMS or knowledge base system

• Expertise in online documentation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field



Other requirements: In addition to the skills and experience listed above, the candidate must:

• work with minimal supervision

• have a “team player” attitude

• work well either alone or with other writers and managers

• be very detail-oriented

• produce quality documentation on very tight schedules

• handle fluid priorities and deadlines

• effectively interview SMEs and leverage existing resources

• coordinate with other teams to efficiently track and audit project deliverables

• understand complex product relationships and architectural flows

• understand the priorities and scope for document deliverables and content



Desirable: The ideal candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Writing or working with technology standards documentation

• Deploying deliverables produced by leveraging HTML, XML, and XSLT

• Experience in Adobe FrameMaker
