Technology Project Manager

Portfolio Media, Inc. is seeking a Technology Project Manager to identify, spearhead and develop technology projects from concept to finish leveraging current and future product offerings. The Project Manager will be managing all aspects of our Law360 product from project management, vendor relationships to all components of the software development life cycle (business requirements, information gathering, software design, quality assurance, product delivery, application support and ongoing maintenance).    The Project Manager must have the ability to reduce costs through process automation and reengineering; must be able to deliver concise, detailed instructions to vendors to achieve business needs while translating technology requirements to stakeholders; juggle multiple projects at once ensuring that production is on schedule while adhering to all quality assurance issues.

Requirements:

  Degree in MIS, CS or Business 5 to 7 years of full cycle product/software development experience Previous project lead or management experience in a corporate environment Strong comprehension of current software development methodologies Information architect and wireframes expertise Familiarity with .Net, SQL, MySQL and Ruby-on- Rails Exceptional business communication skills (oral, written, presentation) Attention to detail

   



Preference:

  Programming experience Online publishing or other online media experience
