Unix Systems Administrator
Fast-growing mobile content distributor looking for an experienced Unix Systems Administrator to join its Seattle Infrastructure team. This position is responsible for day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and periodic systems roll out of its production and development environments. This position also performs periodic onsite desktop and occasional remote desktop administration.
We are a fast paced company in a fast paced industry, flexibility and a "Can Do" attitude is a key component to success in this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
· 24x7 production support and management of systems, platforms, process and tools to proactively and reactively monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues
· Build out and deploy new systems
· Monitor and maintain existing systems
· Document Infrastructure processes
· Support onsite and remote development and office servers and desktops
Job Requirements:
· 4 or more years Unix Systems Administration experience supporting software development and production systems
· Significant experience with RedHat Enterprise and Fedora Core Linux in highly available environments
· Significant experience with Samba, NFS, LDAP and Kerberos in a heterogeneous environment consisting of Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows clients and servers
· Experience with Apache Tomcat, JBoss and Apache on Linux
· Experience with Windows 2003 or 2000 Server and Windows XP in a heterogeneous environment consisting of Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows clients and servers
· Experience with systems monitoring with Nagios including initial setup, configuration and plug-in modification and/or development
· Strong understanding of TCP/IP-based communications, services and monitoring
· Experience with VPN/Firewall/Network design, implementation and support
· Experience with load balancing/clustering of web servers
· Strong troubleshooting skills, detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task
