Vendor Manager-Digital Text for Kindle Amazon.com is looking for an experienced professional to manage Digital Text publishers for Kindle, Amazon's portable reader.  This individual will be responsible for exceeding content revenue goals for Kindle by increasing the quantity of titles available through work with our publishing partners.Responsibilities include: Managing existing relationships with media companies, authors, artists, agents or other intellectual rights holders for the purpose of securing the rights to distribute their media content digitally. Structuring, negotiating, and closing new relationships with media companies and rights holders to grow both top and bottom-line revenues. Driving product line margin by negotiating best of class terms, growth incentives and adding new content selection from rights holders. Developing strong vendor relations that result in the ability to negotiate renewals and/or necessary amendments of existing contracts. Ensuring the timely delivery of digital assets to ensure "in stock" on the first possible time and date where we have the rights to sell the product.  Managing vendor specific merchandising and promotion campaigns in collaboration with the site merchandising and product management teams.  Contributing to the development of site features and functionality that maximize revenue and drive incremental margin from vendor agreements. This person must have knowledge and passion for technology and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Experience with Excel, Access and other management reporting tools is highly desired. Minimum 6 year of sales / business development experience required. Bachelor’s degree required.
