Company Description:

Sony Media Software and Services Inc. is a division of Sony Corporation of America. Sony Media Software and Services Inc. develops solutions that support Sony products across many service platforms. The Content Operations team is responsible for the ingestion, encoding, and packaging of digital content—including video, music, and eBooks—to be distributed to Sony platforms.

Job Description: (This is an entry-level position)

Sony Media Software and Services is looking for highly motivated applicants with a general understanding of film and video standards. Contractors will work directly with Content team to perform quality assurance testing on all encoded video content, enter and review metadata into a content management system, and help to develop an understanding of the digital video marketplace.

Contractors will be responsible for video QA, basic video encoding, creative analysis, and editorial. Specific tasks include video and data validation, content management, competitive analysis, quality reports, and creation of video content reviews.

Ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of movies from a wide swath of genres. Experience with Microsoft Office, PlayStation/Xbox Network, and video encoding/editing is a plus; QC or video game testing experience is also helpful but not required.
