Visual Designer

Position Summary:

Become, Inc. is looking for skilled, passionate, creative and productive UI Designers with a successful track record of designing attractive and highly usable web based user interfaces. Designers will work with product management and engineering to design current visual, as well as some future feature planning. 

Responsibilities include designing user-centric solutions to key problems, creating mockups and prototypes for iterative design, developing UI guidelines, and working with engineering to get the designs built. The designer will work both independently and collaboratively with engineering, marketing, quality assurance, and product support. The Designer will be an integral member of the team, helping to drive the future of our products.

Knowledge & Skills:

3 to 5 years designing and prototyping for the web and user interaction specifications. Expertise in visual design using tools like Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Visio is desired. Experience designing for e-commerce web sites a big plus.

The candidate should be a good team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate and champion ideas effectively. Designer must have attention to detail, a dedication to quality, a willingness to learn, and the ability to produce aesthetically pleasing designs.  Our ideal candidate will have experience designing interfaces that deliver amazing user experiences that work and look great.  A strong portfolio is preferable.Responsibilities:

· Generate crisp, innovative, and elegant design solutions.

· Be comfortable leading as well as supporting design teamwork.

· Facilitate the exploration and understanding of a problem space and drive to get to the heart of the problem.

· Work closely with product managers and engineers to design for business objectives and technical considerations.

· Advocate for the user.

· Communicate clearly.

· Create beginning and intermediate design concepts and take all the way to final production art for use by the development team.

· Design quick mock-ups of products and feature ideas to be used for evaluation and planning.

Qualifications:

· 2+ years of professional design experience.; with emphasis on designing for consumer e-commerce web site

· Bachelors Degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of interface design experience,

· Thorough understanding of user experience design for highly interactive rich internet applications.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization.

· Stay up to date on current interface design trends and thinking and communicate to the larger product development team.
