Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, responsible, competent Web Designer/HTML Programmer with experience in creating web sites. Skills required include strong design eye, programming HTML, PHP, FLEX/FLASH, DreamWeaver, templates, and accessing databases.

Your sharp JavaScript, HTML, CSS skills combined with an eye for simplicity and user experience will serve as the foundation for your success in this role. Responsible for all aspects of the web interface between The Generations Network and its customers. Utilizing your JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and graphics design prowess you will continuously evolve the functionality, usability and aesthetics of our local search engine. Additional experience with FLEX/FLASH, PHP, PhotoShop, Illustrator and other design tools will add significantly to your candidacy for this highly sought after position. Your start-up mentality, pride of ownership, outgoing personality and passion for user interface design and simplicity will round off your skill set and make you an ideal addition to our team that is defining the future.
Required Skills:Bachelors Degree in relevant field (Web Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors…) or equivalent work experience. 5+ years web experience; ability to design look and feel of web site and web applications. Extremely strong knowledge of, and experience in web design. Deep working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, MS Office and industry standard design software. Illustration skills, Visio and/or Flash experience is always a plus. Excellent writing and communication skills; with an outstanding portfolio. Knowledge of and interest in genealogy and family history is a plus.
