Web Designer-Advertiser Programs

Louise Blouin Media’s lifestyle-oriented website ARTINFO, is the online destination for our renowned art magazines Art+Auction, Modern Painters, Culture+Travel, Gallery Guide, Museums, and the auctions pricing guide, the Art Sales Index. Our publications have achieved the highest editorial excellence–ARTINFO is the online digital realization of our brands. We are currently seeking a talented candidate for a Web Designer for Advertising Programs to join our team.

The Web Designer works closely with the Creative Director to develop and refine concepts for the creation of mini-sites, email blasts, rich-media ad units, and online solutions to support advertiser programs on ARTINFO.com. She/he must have a strong visual eye and an in-dept knowledge of branding, visual design, information architecture, as well as an understanding of how to integrate the latest trends in usability and user-focused design principles into the design process. A keen sense of the use of typography within the online/interactive space is a strength.

We are looking for a brand enthusiast who advocates and maintains visual guidelines in the creation of our advertising initiatives and marketing communication materials. She/he must have an understanding of industry standards and be able to create coherent and visually sophisticated design that extends our online brands (or the brand of our clients) balancing user-friendly design with technical requirements and the needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience designing cutting edge websites and a proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (HTML, CSS), and Flash. A working knowledge of InDesign and some experience with print design is desirable. Interactive agency experience is a plus.

The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual who is able to effectively communicate design ideas and respond quickly to business needs. She/he must also have the ability to prioritize and easily shift focus amongst multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility are a must. A passion and knowledge of the art world is a plus.
