SofTec I.T. L.L.C. has a premier client seeking candidates with the following EXACT and SPECIFIC skills and work experience for permanent positions in Aiken, SC.

 


This is a design position with an award-winning team. Our Web designers work with a multi-discipline team to implement Web sites on a variety of platforms, test existing Web designs for usability, and layout effective user interfaces. Duties include outlining Web sites workflows with attention to user experience and usability, designing effective brands and brand materials (logos, print material, etc.) and creating great Web sites.

The job requires an ability to work well on deadlines and with a team. Good time management, problem solving and communication skills are all required. The designer will need to be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.

Portfolio or work samples requested. (Online preferred.)

ResponsibilitiesFollows established standards and best practices. Works closely with Developers and Project Managers to execute projects. Assists in the identification, isolation and communication of problems within web sites. Collaborates with Project Management in the understanding of customer needs and creation of site design requirements. Acts as the design resource for development projects. Must independently keep abreast of the state-of-the-art in web design. Works with teams to translate functional requirements into effective GUIs. Have a real passion for aesthetics and functionality of web sites. Understanding of Drupal theme system is a bonus.


Educational RequirementsBA or MA in Design or related field.  Extensive experience in lieu of degree will be considered.


Work Experience5+ years web design. 3+ years in web application UI design.

·  Demonstrated mastery in a broad selection of subjects in the following major areasX/HTML/CSS Design Print Web GUI Graphics (animated and static) Multimedia UI Workflow Workflow wire framing Flow carts Paper testing Translating requirements Usability principles and standards Design programs, including Photoshop or Fireworks Flash Illustrator Integrating design into CMS Drupal Joomla Effective critiques and art direction Requirements analysis Design quality Usability Workflow Design Principles and Standards


 
Work Experience Expert level knowledge of web design, usability and conventions. Relies on experience good and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
