About the Opportunity The Web Designer/Interactive Graphic Designer designs, develops & maintains creative design, functionality & content for Urban Decay's websites. Helps translate ideas into a visual look & feel that communicates the brand while considering & applying technical & user needs into final user interface. Perform maintenance duties when given new assets, copy, monitoring & reporting programming errors. Creates new home page features, sub features, email assets as well as emails for new products or promotions, special promotions, mini sites, new looks, & product images (main product & colors). Primary Responsibilities This is not a freelance or a remote position. You must work out of the Newport Beach office. Help define the graphic identity, user interface, & interactive experience for all Urban Decay websites. Create internal/external company web pages including graphics, animation & functionality. Design web page layout & online content, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes for new & recurring web projects. Design & produce e-communications such as banner advertising & e-mail campaigns. Test all programming & site functionality prior to launch. Export & supply photography & creative assets for key vendors. Perform maintenance of graphics & content for web pages & web sites. Develop, research & create layouts for new sections & features. Understand business & user requirements, as well as technical considerations to identify key factors to be considered for the layout, organization & hierarchy of an e-commerce website & for new product releases. A passion for makeup is huge plus!

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent work experience.

3+ years experience in design.

Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft applications.

High energy/ambitious/engaging personality.

Ability to quickly learn new skills & technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Self-discipline in adhering to schedules & meeting deadlines.

Ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently & handle project/situational changes.

Exceptional attention-to-detail.

Ability to work as a team member.

Excellent oral & written communication.

Experience in e-Commerce, e-mail campaigns, & banner advertising.

Knowledge of ColdFusion is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.

Experience of website design & creation using (XHTML, CSS, & Flash).
