JOB DESCRIPTION – Web Developer

 

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Technical Producer, you will help lead the web development, coding, and templating of many high-profile sites and projects developed by our client.

 

The Technical Producer is multi-dimensional role with responsibilities that range from hands-on technical development (coding) to some project management. This is a dynamic role in which the Technical Producer will interact directly with business unit customers and virtual teams across the country/world.

 

The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-motivated and flexible engineer with a web development background, who has a broad range of skills including the ability to work at the UI or infrastructure level, is passionate about user experience and can engineer commercial quality web products.

 

Your responsibilities will include interacting with virtual teams to review the technical feasibility of project specifications, the development of new web applications; planning and deploying content data structures, and interacting with all related engineering disciplines.

 

The Senior Web Developer candidate should excel in all components of the technical production skill set including; HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, Tea template integration with our Content Management System, slicing layered Photoshop files, site maintenance and troubleshooting.  This candidate should be able to deliver projects successfully and on time with little oversight required.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

 

Requirements:BA/BS degree or equivalent (BA/BS in computer science or related field strongly preferred). 3+ years experience working on high-profile, high-traffic, cross-platform web development experience Applicants must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and with multiple stakeholders in a deadline driven environment. Experience working in geographically separated projects and teams Proven ability to work with and provide leadership to all members of a diverse project team Experience drafting requirements and functional specifications Superior technical, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing technology and trends. Demonstrated ability to excel and lead without close supervision, excellent communication skills and flawless attention to detail. A strong sense of drive, ownership, passion and a commitment to the user experience. Passion for technology and change in the online environment Good understanding of benefits and constraints of current Internet technologies Ability to conduct technical reviews of functional specs, make realistic labor estimates and drive project through completion Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to a diverse non-technical audience Strong troubleshooting skills Experience writing technical specifications and driving them through development Technically proficient in the following: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, experience writing object-oriented server side code (ASP.Net, JSP, PHP, etc.) in conjunction with some CMS or DB store, AJAX Additional Optional Experience: Experience working with a structured programming language (Java, C/C++, C#, etc.) Experience working with FLASH (ActionScript)
