Web Development Manager

Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Web Development Manager Oversees and manages all daily productions tasks and leads internet project management. This position reports to the Director, Internet Technology. Responsibilities Performs day to day management including input to detailed project plans, project tracking and status reporting to senior management. Manages all development resources. Identifies and implements industry accepted Software Development best practices. Implements appropriate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance practices. Assesses and selects appropriate development techniques to enhance the performance of the application upon which this person leads development Works with the HOTT Internet business group and other members of IT to match business requirements with appropriate technical solutions and approaches. Manages staff development and career opportunities. Creates and enforces department-wide programming and documentation standards. Performs other job duties as needed.  Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical/business discipline with 5 to 7 years practical technical experience Or, 6 to 8 years practical technical experience. Competencies and Skills Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MYSQL databases. Experience and working knowledge of Ruby on Rails programming. Experience with Microsoft Office, HTML and JavaScript. Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Knowledge of web application development. Understanding of Microsoft Project 2000 and Project Management Experience.
