Job Summary:  The Web Development/Product Manager is a position created as two separate roles. Initially, acting as a Web Development Manager, the position will lead high profile web design, development, and application projects and act as the primary client contact and team leader.  At project completion, the position will transition to a Product Manager, acting as the primary contact for on going client requests, escalations, projects and marketing activities.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

The role of Web Development/Product Manager will lead a team across several different disciplines, web developers and programmers, designers and content writers to design and produce quality web projects for our clients. Oversees the delivery of our client’s web based projects, day-to-day client communications, relationship building, and all aspects of project delivery.  Owns the overall project deliverables and delivery schedule, tracks and reports project milestones, and status.  Additional responsibilities include developing statement of work documents, scheduling, reporting, and authoring requirement definition documents.  Coordinates and facilitates all resources to assure project deliverables are completed on time.  Reports progress on projects to the client and Dotster management. In collaboration with the first client, begins formulating a sense of the target market and value proposition that will enable an effective transition to the Product Manager role.

The role of Product Manager will be responsible for identifying unique selling propositions through additional customer segments, product definition, and competitor positioning.  This individual will now be taking a product that has already been proven in the initial phase and will expand it to new customers. Key to this effort will be identifying the core needs that the product solves and then hypothesizing what other customers would also benefit (i.e. establishing the target segments). This person will develop market sizing, revenue plans, and go-to market strategies through pricing and promotions, messaging, bundling and feature release. He/she will then execute the product rollout.
