Bankruptcy Paralegal with well known DC Law firm!

The Mergis Group, a division of Spherion is in search of Bankruptcy Paralegal for a large size law firm in Washington, DC. This is a career paralegal position and only candidates with a paralegal background will be considered.  Candidates with Chapter 11 business experience will be considered.  Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years as a bankruptcy paralegal.   Looking for a Paralegal with bankruptcy experience who has conducted research regarding bankruptcy dockets, recent filings, court decisions, and news about corporate insolvencies.   This position requires knowledge and understanding of Chapter 11 business reorganizations and liquidation proceedings.  Strong verbal, written, organization, and interpersonal skills required.  This position would entail drafting petitions and schedules, preparing fee applications, and filing documents electronically.    MS Word, Excel and Access and working overtime is required.     This firm offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefit package.  The Mergis Group specializes in matching the skills sets and career goals of legal professionals to the needs of law firm and corporate legal departments..
