Business Development Coordinator

Job Title: Business Development Coordinator or Senior Business Development Coordinator, depending on experience
Department: Global Business Development Group
Reports to: Practice Data Manager
Job Description: Work with closely with partners and associates, Practice Data Manager and Business Development Coordinators on preparing business development pitches.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing business development materials for prospective client meetings from start to finish, which includes gathering industry, geographic and practice data, formatting documents and producing final materials.
- Preparing industry sector and prospective client profiles.
- Maintaining practice data and related materials, by updating business development databases and coordinating with other departments.
- Researching and analyzing transaction data (capital markets, M&A, syndicated loans, etc.) used to support business development initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2-4 years experience in a business development or marketing role in a professional or financial services environment, experience with law firm or litigation matters a plus
- B.S. or equivalent degree
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communications skills (writing will be tested)
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and successfully handle multiple projects
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as necessary
- General knowledge of business and the financial markets
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; experience with Thomson Financial products a plus
- Spanish or Portuguese language capabilities a plus
