Business Development Specialist

Business Development Specialist in our Los Angeles Office

Major, Lindsey & Africa, an executive legal search firm, is seeking an inside sales professional to join our team. Our firm offers a collegial environment and the opportunity to be part of a global attorney search firm with 21 offices world-wide.

Our Business Development Specialists call the in-house legal departments of large and mid-size companies with the objective of introducing our firm and our retained search services. Specialists identify targets, cultivate client relationships, maintain database records on clients and schedule appointments for the in-house recruiters to meet with clients. Specialists work very closely with recruiters in their designated region.

Position qualifications: We are looking for motivated professionals with inside sales experience and familiarity with the legal industry. Successful candidates will be capable of performing research to identify targets, engage in "cold-calling" and have the ability to establish and cultivate business relationships with C-level executives.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success working in the professional service sector with 2 to 3 years inside sales experience selling to C-level executives of Fortune 500 companies. Exceptional communication skills are required. We are looking for energetic candidates who are solution-oriented, self-motivated, highly driven and determined goal setters. Candidates should present a confident demeanor, a broad perspective and the ability to listen. Candidates must have the ability to work independently while acting as a team-player.

BA/BS degree is required. MBA or JD degree is a plus. Compensation is a base salary plus bonus structure.
