Compensation Accounting Manager
The Compensation Accounting Manager is responsible for :
preparing all employee and pension payrolls,
Managing various investment partnerships,
Compensation aspects of the Expatriate program,
Financial reporting.
Responsible for the supervision of the payroll staff and the timely and accurate payment of the firm’s payrolls in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain records and prepare statements for the firm’s pension plans, including preparation of annual financial statements audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In coordination with the Legal Personnel department, develop and manage the firm’s expatriate program, including the preparation of tax returns by Ernst & Young LLP.
Maintain records for the firm’s investment partnerships, coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns and prepare cash distributions and capital calls as required.
Keep current with developments in accounting and financial profession relevant to compensation accounting. Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement value-added policies and procedures.
Responsible for the payroll aspects of various systems including: 401K recordkeeping, time and attendance systems, employee self-service, etc.
Requirements:
A minimum of five years of experience in payroll, employee compensation and benefits accounting. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
Knowledge of payroll, employee compensation and benefits accounting, reporting and statutory requirements of the various state and federal agencies.
Performance of the foregoing responsibilities requires on a regular basis.
Ability to prepare and review correspondence, memoranda, invoices, financial data, payroll data and related written material.
Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers and firm personnel at all levels, outside vendors, consultants and other outside parties.
