Controller

Michelman & Robinson, LLP, a growing, full-service law firm headquartered in Encino is looking for a Controller to handle the accounting functions of its three (3) current offices.  Under the supervision of the Managing Partner and Administrative Partner, this individual will be responsible for handling the financial transactions of the Firm.  Responsibilities include financial planning and controls and contribution to the cost-effective management throughout the offices.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

The Controller will be responsible for all of the Firm's accounting functions, including financial reporting/financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, month end close, and general ledger and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate must have a proven successful track record in accounting.  Completion of operational audits and cost/benefit analysis as requested. Experience with Elite software a must.

 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:



7-10 years of accounting experience, and experience managing an accounting department of at least 5.  Experience with a professional services firm desired.  


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
