Corporate Staff Attorney

 

Letica Corporation, a leader in plastic and paper packaging, seeks legal counsel to join its legal department.  Reporting to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel this individual will be responsible for providing legal services, advice and support to all areas of the company. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Contract reviews and drafting, knowledge of UCC criticalInvestigate, research and provide general legal advice concerning a broad range of questions and circumstances which may arise in the company’s daily business activitiesManage outside counsel, including assisting in developing strategy for complex cases Drafting policies, investigating all manner of cases, dealing with all governmental agencies relating to Human Resource related issuesGeneral governmental compliance, i.e. wage and hour, environmental etcWorking with all corporate departments regarding all legal matters Responsible for litigating smaller cases

 

Requirements:Member in good standing with State Bar of MichiganLaw degree from an accredited law school with license to practice in MichiganA minimum of 7 years of legal practice, particularly litigationStrong background in employment lawAbility to handle multiple files and tight deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility and initiative to be proactive and a strong team playerSuperior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
