The Position:

We currently seek an equally dynamic Director of HR whose primary focus will be to lead a team of domestic and international HR professionals and set the direction for the world-wide HR organization in conjunction with Firm leadership.  The goal of the position is to ensure strong operational HR support for the business, particularly around the following strategic areas: (1) recruitment, retention, productivity and development of operational support for the firm’s lawyers; (2) management and integration of HR information in the HRIS systems; and (3) streamlining and integration of firmwide HR policies and practices where practical.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

The successful candidate will be a degreed professional who possesses ten to fifteen years of human resources experience with at least seven years at the senior management level of a global company, preferably in a professional services setting. An SPHR or GPHR designation is desirable. Experience with strategic and functional HR and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with leaders remotely in globally diverse operations is a plus.  Previous experience in comparable markets in the US, Europe, and Asia considered a plus, as is experience with managing and nurturing direct reports in multiple locations.  Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization is required.  Ability to travel is also required.

 

Location:

This position may be located in our Pittsburgh office, but we are also considering candidates for location in any of our other office locations, including but not limited to Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, or Dallas.
