External Audit Senior (Assurance)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a quickly growing professional services consulting firm as an Audit Manager or Senior Manager. An Audit Manager is a CPA whose client responsibilities are second only to those of Principles. Managers are primarily responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise and for clients assigned to them. • Managers direct the work of staff, seniors and supervisors assigned to their client engagements. • Conduct and supervise all aspects of field work of financial statement audit and accounting engagements. • Supervise staff accountants and prepare staff evaluation reports.• Complete all financial statements, tax returns and special services. • Review all work papers, financial statements and tax returns before submission to Manager/Principle for further review. • Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients and prepare management advisory letters. • Plan engagements including preparation of audit programs and time budgets to achieve quality and efficiency goals. • Prepare for and pass the CPA exam, if not already done.Who we're looking forRequirements:•  2+ years of financial statement audit experience at a public accounting firm, preferably a CPA firm in the Top 25 (see Crain's Top 25 list) -- public accounting experience must be recent; at most 2 years removed. CPA is strongly desired. Experience working with privately-held clients is a plus.
