SUMMARY
Reviews and summarizes medical and related records into an attorney work product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs efficient and accurate medical case review;Develops accurate work-product based on the medical records provided which is reflective of the client’s needs; Assists in identifying severity of a case;Prioritizes work product based on project guidelines and clients’ needs;Monitors calendaring due dates and submits work product prior to or by the required deadline;Communicates with direct supervisor to discuss challenges with meeting set deadline dates in advance of deadline;Updates WiseFiles and/or Integrated Desktop to ensure database is maintained for tabs reviewed, communication notes, quality reviews, etc.;Notifies proper department personnel when problems occur with records received;Assists with work product across projects as determined by the Project Manager;Submits time to accounting software immediately following work performance, on daily basis;Submits Paid Time Off forms in a timely manner for approval and inclusion on Office Calendar and for payroll purposes;Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities, may quality review nurse work product as needed;Reports productivity, including benchmarks per case, to designated person as instructed;Performs other duties as assigned;

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Nursing degree with 5 or more recent years experience in a clinical setting. Some legal nurse consulting experience is helpful. We will also consider combinations of clinical and LNC experience. Computer and typing skills required including experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and e-mail usage with attachments required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from co-workers and supervisors. Ability to write summaries and chronologies that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in nursing and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current licensure and in good standing with the Board of Nurse Examiners in the state of residence.
