Health and Wellness Specialist

Position Summary:

As a member of the Human Resources team, the Health and Wellness Specialist will design, implement, and monitor worksite wellness initiatives for the Firm and assist with Benefits Administration as assigned.

 

Essential Job Functions: Undertake wellness research and provide recommendations for wellness program design.Support the implementation of wellness strategies and participate in all wellness planning activities.Conduct wellness program analysis by generating reports related to program participation. Coordinate and maintain working relationships with program carriers and vendors.Benefits administration as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrated skill in planning, implementing and coordinating health promotion programs and strategies required.  Understanding of current health promotion/health behavior theories, practices, health risk and cost relationships, evaluation methods, policies and trends.  Prior experience with program evaluation and analysis desired.Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  Prior experience with vendor relationship management preferred.Basic benefits administration knowledge.

 

Experience and Education:Bachelor’s degree in public health, behavioral sciences, human resources or related field.2+ years experience in delivery and coordinating worksite health promotion programs a plus and prior HR experience required.  Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) designation desired.
