IP Secretary - Houston
Immediate opening for an Intellectual Property Legal Secretary with an international law firm. The ideal candaite will be hard-working, dedicated and creative. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, heavy transcription, creation/revision of complex documents, phone contact with clients, franchise registrations and renewals, maintain franchise database, and assist with domestic and international UFOCs along with other duties as assigned.

 
Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years legal secretarial experience with extensive knowledge of specific procedures pertaining to patent and trademark prosecution (domestic and foreign), and some litigation experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in preparation of patent and trademark applications for filing including Declarations, Power of Attorney, Assignments, IDS, transmittal, checks, and confirmation letter to client. Individual should be detail oriented, be able to work in face-paced environment and be willing to work as part of a team. Occasional overtime required.
