Lead Applications Developer
Great Opportunity to join Fortune 100 organization!The successful candidate will assume responsibility for developing, maintaining and supporting applications to meet the needs of the Firm. Supervise a team of 2-3 applications development staff members; provide leadership, direction and oversight in developing and maintaining the firm’s business applications. Works with the Director of Applications and Development to develop a strategic plan for the Firm’s Applications Development function that provides for future growth and technological advancements; manages the full systems development life cycle of application systems and seeks opportunities to build systems based on standard firm architectures. Set priorities, allocate resources, refine and ensure clear communication with other departments and executive management. Configure and maintain web server software; perform server software upgrades and troubleshoots problems; serve as a liaison with vendors on the implementation of new packaged systems or upgrades to existing systems and evaluate and recommend third-party software solutions. This is a hands on Manager. 70% Development, 30% Management. Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft.NET development tools, MS SQL Server, ODBC, IIS, Visual Studio, Internet Security, Visual Basic, HTML, and XML; working knowledge of, Javascript, and TCP/IP. Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical users; the ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate, timely and professional manner; excellent communication and customer service skills required and ability to interact effectively and professionally with all learning styles, personality types and levels of management, staff and a variety of external entities including clients and prospective clients of the Firm. Ability to travel to the Firm’s other offices(1-3% travel only).
