Legal Recruiting Manager

Legal Recruiting Manager  - New York Office

 

An international law firms seeks a Legal Recruiting Manager with advanced knowledge of legal recruiting activities and initiatives for there New York  office.  Position requires demonstrated ability to assist in the creation of overall recruiting strategies and actively participate in the development, interpretation, administration and communication of departmental and Firm policies and procedures.  Manages entry level and lateral associate hiring programs and processes; communicates national strategic recruiting directives and initiatives to local attorneys and provides training as necessary; reviews and facilitates the circulation of resumes; interviews entry and lateral associate candidates and maintains contact throughout the process; serves as primary contact with core search agencies; coordinates lateral associate recruiting and On Campus Interview processes; manages the Fall Recruiting  Process and the Summer Associate Program; maintains presence at local law schools; works closely with Hiring Partner, Hiring Committee, and national Legal Recruiting leadership; liaises with recruiting agencies, external vendors on events and products, and assists the Attorney Development Manager with orientation and training programs.  Supervises Legal Recruiting/Attorney Development Coordinator and Assistant. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, plus three to four years of related legal recruiting or administrative experience including two years of supervisory experience.  Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills.  Ability to interact effectively with all levels of attorneys, management and staff and a variety of external entities including recruiting agencies, schools and students.  Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, use initiative and judgment to accomplish results.  Ability to delegate and manage resources effectively.
