National Document Processing Services Department Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Firmwide Document Processing Services, the National Document Process Services Department Manager manages the people, process and technology for the National Document Processing Services Department (DPS) and ensures that the DPS team expertly supports the needs of all Firm personnel and Firm clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Executes plans to hire, train, develop, recognize and reward members of the National DPS team.
2. Provides guidance to DPS Coordinators and others on the most efficient way to provide document processing services.
3. Executes performance management and individual development plans for members of the DPS team.
4. Meets regularly with staff to communicate updates, seek feedback, and discuss training regarding work performance and DPS Department procedures.
5. Develops and maintains standards and processes to run the DPS Department efficiently while providing high quality service.
6. Ensures adequate department staffing and coverage for absences, holidays, and peak work periods (DPS functions 24/7 year-round).
7. Prepares and reviews daily/weekly/monthly reports capturing data relevant to department productivity and performance levels.
8. Prepares status reports and recommendations to improve staffing and technology.
9. Communicates with support departments as needed.
10. Manages technology to ensure the full support of the Department’s goals.
11. Ensures that DPS staff is fully knowledgeable in advanced features of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other necessary software.
12. Oversees the utilization of the DPS Work Tracking System and initiates effective measures to ensure data integrity and user compliance.
Requirements:
1. Four-year college degree in a business-related area preferred;
2. Six years in a legal Document Processing Center; and
3. Three years in a leadership role, preferably managing a large team across multiple locations.
