Network Manager
NETWORK MANAGER
Thompson Coburn LLP, a large downtown law firm, has an immediate opening for a Network Manager with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in support of communication networks and a minimum of 2 years related supervisory experience. The Network Manager will be responsible for local and wide area networks, telecommunications, and network security; provide hands on configuration and support of network equipment and supervise network engineers; investigate and recommend network technologies, manage vendor relationships, and participate in data center facilities management.
This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent leadership and initiative qualities. Qualified applicants will be able to use project management skills and acquired knowledge to analyze, architect, implement, and support complex network infrastructures and related technologies including, but not limited to: LAN, WAN, remote access, DMZ's, voice, AV conferencing, network monitoring and diagnostics, DR, home computing, and remote trial sites. Preferred candidates will have excellent leadership skills and recent experience with Cisco routers, CheckPoint firewalls, multi-office MPLS networks, and Cisco Call Manager. A BA/BS degree in CS, MIS, or EE is preferred.
