Paralegal - Art Law Research Specialist

Paralegal - Art Law Research Specialist with a mid-sized Manhattan law firm's Art Law Group.  The Group consists of lawyers who work almost exclusively on art-related litigation and corporate matters.  In this position, the paralegal-art law research specialist works very closely with both the Group's two head partners and the firm's associates.  Tasks include: research on historical and art-related topics; following and reporting on news in the art world; reviewing, analyzing, and organizing documents pertaining to the various matters handled by the Group, litigation support, drafting correspondence and memoranda; and coordinating various marketing initiatives.  Candidates should have a strong work ethic and superior organizational skills.  Candidate must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and be attentive to detail.  The ideal candidate would be fluent in German, other language skills a plus. Experience working in a law firm is preferred, but not required.  Candidate must be flexible to work overtime.  The position is available beginning mid-June 2008.  Salary commensurate with experience.
