Part-time Technical Support Specialist

 IT SUPPORT - PART-TIME - LAW OFFICE

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Technical Support  works directly with attorneys, paralegals and support staff to resolve IT related issues. The successful candidate must have the ability to work well independently, with a minimum amount of supervision and be able to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands simultaneously.  Hours: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday with some flexibility.  Benefits included.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·  Troubleshoots and determines source of computer problems and advises appropriate action

·  Serves as a liaison between staff and the IT Department to resolve issues

·  Answers questions on all company supported applications, working one-on-one as required

·  Performs hardware and software installations

·  Performs maintenance, as required, on all IT equipment

·  Programs phone lines and manages extensions

·  Responsible for backups and conference room a/v set ups

·  Set up, maintain and prepare loaner laptops, replacement PCs, Blackberry units and other equipment

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·  Ability to work with others to accomplish goals

·  Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, management, support staff and outside agencies

·  Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and conflicting demands

·  Excellent organizational skills

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·  High School graduate; associates degree preferred

·  Advanced knowledge of hardware and company supported applications, including iManage, Word/Excel, Outlook and CMS

·  Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and computer skills as well as a strong work ethic

·  Ability to work independently, performing research for solutions as required
