Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Company: Davidson Staffing Email: Apply by Email Patent Agent Company is seeking an experienced patent agent to help obtain and protect our intellectual property rights. Primary responsibilities will include analyzing technical and scientific documents describing new concepts and advising on patentability. Essential duties will include analyzing prior art to determine whether proposed inventions are different, determining if the differences are sufficient for patentability, and drafting patent applications accordingly. Other duties will include assistance with ongoing analysis and continuous monitoring of the competitive landscape. Will also assist with patent prosecution and strategic portfolio management. Must be willing to support other IP department tasks as needed such as license negotiations and litigation assistance. Position will have significant interaction with management as well as research and development personnel. Must be comfortable operating under minimal supervision on the most complex projects. Requires six to nine years of experience as a patent agent, a bachelors degree (all scientific disciplines will be considered) and USPTO registration. In-house experience preferred but not required.
