Practice Development Manager
We have an immediate opening for Practice Development Manager – Washington D.C. This position will be responsible for managing all business development and marketing functions of the Appellate, Class Actions, Mass Torts and Aggregated Litigation, and Strategic Counseling practice groups, as well as other assigned firm-wide Client Development initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with practice area leaders, department heads, office administrators, and industry and marketing group(s); providing business development, marketing, and communications support to firm lawyers; maintaining proposal database and league table/industry survey content; supporting responses to RFPs, presentations, and other opportunities through written proposal and presentation materials; and assisting with the execution of client-development events. Additional responsibilities include development and tracking of annual Client Development budgets, and collaborating with and support of the Talent Development department’s lateral recruiting efforts. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of business development and/or marketing-related position in a law firm, a professional services environment. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, research, or communications-related field or a J.D. is preferred. Professionals from law, financial services, investment banking, accounting, or business consulting are encouraged to apply.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidate will be highly customer service oriented, technologically savvy, organized, able to multi-task, demonstrate good judgment, prioritize, and exhibit sound judgment in a multiple leader, team oriented, fast paced environment.
