The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for implementing and overseeing the quality and training for a Team of off-shore LexisNexis Staff Attorneys providing litigation, transaction, and intellectual property support services. The QAS will work directly with Staff Attorneys to provide feedback on draft deliverables and will ensure that all deliverables are high quality products. The QAS will also train Staff Attorneys, both individually and on a Team basis, to ensure that the Staff Attorneys have the skills needed to provide strong services. The QAS will work in conjunction with the LPM to ensure effective delivery of quality products to the customer. The QAS will also be responsible for fulfilling the individual and Team development needs. The QAS must have excellent interpersonal skills, high quality standards, and the ability to work with editors on a one-to-one basis. The QAS should have excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide direction and feedback in a very straight-forward manner. The QAS, in conjunction with the LPM, will develop and implement an editorial certification program, editorial guidelines, and an effective quality control program. The QAS will also compose legal documents, articles, and content as needed and will perform other support/administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications 1. Bachelors degree required 2. J.D. preferred 3. 3-5 years legal quality and training experience required. 4. 3-5 years experience in LexisNexis legal publishing or production environment preferred. 5. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required. 6. Organizational skills relating to facilitation techniques, problem solving, and effective decision making process. 7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 8. Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills 9.
