Records Assistant

The Records Assistant will maintain labor and employment group files and filing system for the legal department located in Houston, TX.

 

o Maintain labor and employment group files and filing system including file and document retrieval; manage file storage program.

o Coordinate routing of legal services of process company-wide

o Sort, open, and distribute department mail.

o Prepare and distribute weekly department calendar.

o Fax maintenance including distribution of incoming faxes, clearing jams and toner replacement.

o Supply copier/fax/printer machines with toner/paper.

o Assist department staff with general administrative duties such as photocopying, mailings, memorandums/letters, etc.

o Other duties or projects as needed.

 

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Training:

o High School Diploma; some college preferred

 

Job Knowledge/Experience:

o Minimum of 1 year administrative or clerical experience including knowledge of commonly-used business concepts and practices.

o Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

o Prior law firm or law department experience desired.

o Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

 

Language/Writing/Communication Requirements:

o Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
