National Records Manager – AMLAW 75 Firm - ChicagoDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES This position is responsible for all aspects of records management Firm wide.  This is the primary Records Manager for the Chicago Records Center, and provides oversight and direction to Records operations in all other offices.  Travel to other offices required.  Will be responsible for the disposition of client and Firm records in all media.  This position directly supervises staff in the Chicago office.  Monitors standard processes of file creation, data collection, indexing, retrieval, storage, and destruction.  Responsible for ongoing revisions to policies.  Consults with Chief Knowledge Counsel, Firm Counsel, Conflicts, Technology Services and Financial Services personnel regarding issues impacting records and information management. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage Chicago Records Center operations and staff. 2. Manage Firm wide records and information systems. 3. Consult with Chief Knowledge Counsel, Firm Counsel and Chief Financial Officer on client related matters. 4. Manage records staff members and processes in other offices. 5. Provide advice to attorneys, secretaries, paralegals and other firm staff as needed in the proper management, transfer and disposition of client and firm records. 6. Projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE: Must have prior records management, and management experience.
