Senior Product Designer

The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities Work with marketing, product management, product development and users to design innovative, industry leading products. Using product requirements drive the product design process from product/feature conceptualization through detailed user interface and functional design, implementation and usability review. Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle. Coordinate UX research and evaluation for products. Act as the point of contact for design resources. Conduct heuristic reviews of products at various stages of the design process and communicate findings. Participate in user profile/persona definition and use case development. Identify, prioritize, and resolve usability issues throughout product development. Influence the broader product development team to implement solutions that are best for the user.Qualifications ? 5+ years experience in interactive design with a commercial software product company. ? BA/BS or advanced degree preferred in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field or demonstrated comparable experience designing commercial software products. ? Demonstrated experience with designing B2B and B2C web-based products or web sites. ? In depth knowledge of User Interface Design principles, Human Factors, User-Centered Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines, Usability Methodologies, industry standards and trends, platform standards, software development process, and prototyping/design. ? Ability to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team. ? Proven team player. ? Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and leadership skills are essential. ? Ability to translate audience, technology and other key product requirements into effective UI design solutions. ? Experience designing UI wireframes and prototypes ? Experience writing design documents to effectively communicate functional behavior to stakeholders. ? Skilled at influencing product development teams to implement customer-centric solutions. ? Proficient using graphic imaging and design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, MS Visio, MS Visual Design Studio, etc. ? Preferred working knowledge of HTML, XHTML and CSS coding. ? Knowledge of web technologies such as application and web servers, .NET, etc. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives. ? Knowledge of international and accessibility design considerations. ?
