Senior Tax Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity to join a quickly growing professional services consulting firm as a Senior Tax Accountant. A Tax Senior is a CPA whose client responsibilities are second only to those of Principles, and are considered "Principles in training." Managers are primarily responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise and for clients assigned to them. Managers direct the work of staff, seniors and supervisors assigned to their client engagements. • Tax return preparation; tax notice resolution; data gathering; assisting in tax field exams. • Supervise and train staff accountants. • Prepare business and personal tax returns and financial statements (under supervision). • Prepare for and pass the CPA examination, if not already done.Who we're looking forRequirements:•  2+ years of tax experience at a public accounting firm, preferably a CPA firm in the Top 25 (see Crain's Top 25 list) -- public accounting experience must be recent; at most 2 years removed.•  CPA and/or Masters Degree in Taxation is strongly desired.•  Experience working with privately-held clients is a plus.•  Industry experience in manufacturing, real estate, construction, not-for-profit, and government is strongly desired.About our clientMiller Cooper is a high-growth CPA firm ranked #11 in Chicago by Crain's business journal.
