JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a Server systems section manager to provide oversight/expertise and direction to our internal UNIX/Windows and Web services teams. This position requires a strong technical background in the open systems environment with a comprehensive knowledge of OS**s, Hardware, Web services, AD and a variety of enterprise class applications. This person will manage and direct a team of technical staff responsible for the backend and web server infrastructure, AD and domain, web front, Exchange and Citrix platforms along with a variety of other client server applications. This individual will be expected to set strategy and vision for the group and be able to manage resources in the successful execution of project and problem resolution initiatives. The candidate should have in-depth experience with a variety of server class hardware, Windows or Unix/Linux OS, SAN knowledge and Client Server environments.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL OFFER US....
**5+ years experience in managing client server environments including design, implementation of open system platforms
**Experience managing teams of 10 ** 25 technical staff members
**Comprehensive understanding of Active Directory and domain structures
**Virtualization systems experience and systems consolidation experience
**Knowledgeable of SAN structures, leveraged disk farms and storage platforms
**Competent with fundamental networking architectures
**Ability to manage projects of varying scope and scale
**Capable of translating technical discussions in business perspective and terms
**Ability to lead a team through planning and implementation processes
**Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills across business and technical lines
**Work with minimal to zero supervision / managerial oversight
**Must be able to create and maintain a budget and track expenses
**Ability to thrive in a complex environment with the desire and ability to grow professionally
**Strong sense of integrity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
**Technical certifications a plus (e.g. MCSE, RHCE, MCP, SCSA, etc)
**Extensive experience / knowledge with the installation and management of VMWare platforms
**Experience with implementing and managing operations processes (e.g. patching, consolidation, etc)
**Project management and business analysis skills a plus
