The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive automated test plans against LexisNexis Litigation Services suite of products. This QA SDET candidate must have extensive experience coding and executing automated tests to verify functionality, data and transaction integrity, security, scalability/high availability and performance under high volume usage for web-based and Win32 applications. The QA SDET will work closely with LexisNexis Litigation Services development, program management, QA and IT teams to define test scenarios for automated tests. Candidates for this position must demonstrate superior ability in creating automated tests and developing optimal methods for managing automated test suites. Although this is not a development position, the QA SDET will develop automated test scripts to support the Litigation Services QA team in the testing of various applicationsQualifications 1. Computer Science degree or 3+ years of equivalent testing experience 2. 5-7 years experience as QA tester supporting multiple types of software applications: Black box, white box, regression, integration, load and performance testing. 3. 3+ years exp in writing detailed manual test cases 4. 5-7 years exp with Mercury Interactive's LoadRunner, WinRunner or Quick Test Professional and Test Director 5. 2+ years experience working with MS SQL Server or comparable DBMS 6. 2+ years experience working with applications on web servers 7. 2+ years experience with scripting knowledge of VBScript, Perl, Python, PHP and/or Ruby 8. Must have intermediate to advanced experience in designing, developing and the execution of reusable and maintainable automated scripts. 9. Must have intermediate to advanced experience in a rapid software development environment. 10. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills 11. Must possess sound independent problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills 12. Must possess extremely strong organizational, analytical and presentation skills 13.
